Requirements

 

To be successful in this role, we are looking for an experienced individual with a minimum of 3 to 5 years of professional experience in website design and coding. Preference will be given to candidates with prior experience working on projects in the US or internationally. This is a part-time position allowing up to 25 hours per week (5 hours per day) and can be done remotely. However, availability during US working hours between 9 AM and 3 PM Eastern Time, Monday to Friday is required, with occasional flexibility based on project timelines.

 

To perform the required duties, you must have a working internet connection, a development computer, and a smart mobile device. Please note that this is an independent contractor position, and we do not provide company equipment or expense reimbursement.

 

Qualifications:

 

• Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a similar field.

• Proficiency in HTML5, PHP, JavaScript, jQuery, Restful APIs, CSS, and Code Igniter.

• 3-5 years of experience using the Agile Model in web development projects.

• 3-5 years of experience in web maintenance and enhancement.

• Knowledge of Confluence, JIRA, Slack, BitBucket, and AWS platform.

 

Responsibilities

 

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:

 

• Coding, testing, maintaining, and troubleshooting PHP websites and WordPress web applications, including writing PHP/JavaScript code.

• Working with MySQL and other relational databases.

• Utilizing PHP frameworks for development using OOP and design principles.

• Employing project and code tools such as Confluence, JIRA, Slack, and BitBucket.

• Client-side programming, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery.

• Solid understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
